Dear Sasha,
I truely respect your knowledge in the area of gaining long term benefits from training/practice in golf. Therefore I ask you what are your thoughts on the following? 1. Struggle on the range so you don't have to struggle on the course. How should I apply this idea? 2."Repetition" does not always equal "Remembering." When does it? 3. Leave your ego behind when you go to practice. Why is this important? Kind regards, Peter |

Hi Peter
I'll try and answer your questions succinctly: 1. Obviously we want to train hard so that we an play easy. Tough training will develop our skill in order to help us play better and more consistently. 2. We need to apply the third law of accuracy here - the Law of Target. It is important to repeat the "correct" behaviour in order to improve and ingrain the correct behaviour. Unfortunately, repeating the incorrect behaviour will ingrain the incorrect behaviour. 3. There's a few ways of looking at this one Peter, so I'll pick one. If you are humble during your training you will be a champion when you play. Sasha Novak. |
