Simon Owen- Rookie of the Year

Winner of over a dozen 72 hole professional tournaments worldwide, including the German Open, New Zealand Open, South Australian Open and New Zealand PGA. Simon was runner up in 1978 to the legendary Jack Nicklaus in the British Open at St Andrews, Scotland and was also a finalist that same year in the prestigious World Match Play Championship. Over a career spanning 35 years he has competed for his country in numerous World Cup and Dunhill Cup teams. Currently Simon is successfully competing on the European PGA Seniors Tour where he was awarded the “Rookie of the year” title after his first season.

A long time follower and advocate of the Croker Golf System, Simon came to the Croker Golf System Academy at the Dunes Golf Links Rye, Australia in early 2006 to work on his game and give a series workshops and demonstrations. At this time he made some video downloads with Peter Croker which you are free to enjoy. Simon has a beautiful free flowing swing and is regarded as one of the longest hitters on the circuit.
